Rate questions

How our pricing works

Why are residential and commercial rates different?

Commercial work typically involves heavier service sizes, three-phase equipment, code and inspection requirements, and coordination that residential jobs don't. That's why business locations bill at $75/hr for the electrician and $45/hr for the helper, while homes bill at $70/hr and $40/hr. The rate is set by the type of property we're working on — we'll always confirm which applies before we start.

Why is there a 3-hour minimum?

Getting a licensed electrician, a helper, and the right equipment to your location has a real cost whether the fix takes ten minutes or all afternoon. The 3-hour minimum covers that — and on most jobs there's plenty of work to fill the time. For small residential tasks, we'll tell you up front how it shakes out.

When do overtime rates apply?

After-hours service starts after 3 PM. During that window, the electrician and helper are billed at the OT rate — $187.50/hr for the electrician and $112.50/hr for the helper. If you call ahead, we'll always tell you exactly what to expect before we start.

How does mileage work?

There's no mileage charge within a 25-mile radius of El Campo. Beyond that, mileage is billed at a flat $1.80 per mile. We travel across South Texas — including Houston, Austin, and San Antonio — for the right job.

What does "fuel not included" mean on rentals?

Generator, light tower, bucket truck, and backhoe rates cover the equipment and (where applicable) the operator. Fuel is billed separately or topped off by you, since usage varies a lot by job. We'll go over the details when you book.

How do I get a price for oilfield or a big project?

Oilfield, large commercial, and specialty jobs are quoted per project rather than straight off the rate sheet — there are too many variables to give one flat number. Call the office at (979) 543-7887 or send us the details and we'll get you a real quote.
